Achieving Hazard Awareness

• This course is presented in a “Workshop” format.
• It is not “Generic” in nature.
• It is workplace-specific training because it is based on discussion of the actual accidents experienced within the client’s workplace and the risks associated with the client’s operation.
• Through discussion, it helps learners identify actual and potential hazards in the workplace using various hazard identification tools, with the goal of preventing incidents from occurring.
• The course examines the different preventative measures and proactive reporting methods that can be taken to eliminate or reduce the chance of an accident occurring.

Learning Objectives

Participants Will:

• Recognize why people get hurt and damages occur
• Understand the main root causes of accidents within their workplace
• Become aware of where hazards come from and/or how they are created
• Learn how to recognize hazards
• Know what to do to eliminate/reduce or control a hazard
• Know how to practice hazard recognition and control
• Understand the value of reporting hazards and “close-calls”
